UK OVERVIEW

    Why UK ?

    UK has some of the top ranked Universities in the world, a position it has held for many years with over 50,000 Indian Students going there to study each year.

    As the UK is one of the richest nations in the world, its third level education system has produced world leaders in business, science, technology and politics.

    The English language is the most widely spoken language in the world. This means that studying in the UK will help improve your language skills and preparation for future employment.

    The national qualification frameworks in the United Kingdom are qualifications frameworks that define and link the levels and credit values of different qualifications.

    The Current Frameworks Are :
  • The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) for general and vocational qualifications regulated by Equal in England and the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland;
  • The Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW) for all qualifications in Wales regulated by Qualifications Wales;
  • The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) for all qualifications in Scotland;
  • The Frameworks for Higher Education Qualifications of UK Degree-Awarding Bodies (FHEQ) for qualifications awarded by bodies across the United Kingdom with degree-awarding powers
  • Another advantage of studying in the UK is that degrees usually take less time to complete than most other countries, making their courses cost effective and less time-consuming. The duration of an undergraduate program in the UK is three years and post-graduate programs (Masters) is typically one year of course work followed by internship or project*.

WORK RIGHTS IN UNITED KINGDOM

When compared to other countries studying in the United Kingdom is a bit expensive. But international students are allowed to work part-time. In the UK as an international student, you’re allowed to work up to 20 hours at a maximum per week during term-time and full-time during holiday breaks.

Despite the recent immigration rule changes on Tier 4 Student visas, university students are still eligible to work i.e. 20 hours per week during term time, and full-time i.e. 40 hours per week during the holidays.

As for new students applying for further education colleges (both publicly funded and private colleges), they will not be allowed to work.
